National Platform Banska Bystrica 2011

National Platform of student organization 'Erasmus Student Network Slovakia' (ESN Slovakia) was held during the first week of the New Year 2011. National Platform is the highest decisive body of ESN Slovakia. Represents the space for meetings of all ESN sections in the friendly atmosphere full of both information and activities related to ESN on the national scale. Leader of the National Platform for this year became the section ESN UMB BB from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica which organized this National Platform.

Conference took place at Faculty of Economics in the New building from January 7th until January 9th. Apart from 30 ESN Slovakia members participated guests also from ESN Czech Republic, ESN ESA Cyprus, representatives of Alma – mater, regional consultant for 'Youth in action' programme and last but not least chairperson and vice-chairperson of the Student Council for Higher Education of Slovak Republic. Opening ceremony was held on Friday when the agenda for following days was presented as well as speech of both National president of ESN Slovakia and leader of the National Platform. After this introduction followed Teambulding Game and Getting to know each other. Official part came to an end and the participants headed to Oliva Restaurant for welcome dinner. Conference was continuing the second day with the busy schedule. All international, national and local projects were presented. Despite busy agenda's schedule we found time for discussions about new proposals. The grand Saturday finale was held in Gala Night style when ESN UMB BB celebrated its first birthday where all international students and student form Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra were invited.
